On August 26th, 2022 XRP price saw a major spike peaking to almost $0.38 per coin, coming from $0.34. This was happening very late in the day during the American timezone.
What is interesting is that at the same exact time, popular cryptocurrency twitter account known as @whale_alert cited 3 major XRP transactions from cryptocurrency exchanges Bitso and FTX. Bitso is an official Ripple ODL enabled partner that helps provide liquidity for XRP/MXN.
Two of these transactions were transferred from the exchanges to an unknown wallet address, while one of them came from an unknown address and sent onto the exchange.
This could be regular whale activity looking to grab some quick liquidity and fill some gaps in the market, or could be something much much bigger going on behind closed doors such as an XRP On-Demand Liquidity rollout, which we do know has been happening in many countries lately, such as with Japan and the Philippines.
