Payments giant Mastercard has announced a partnership with Binance, the worlds biggest cryptocurrency exchange, to launch cryptocurrency payments in-store and online. This announcement is confirmed by the CEO of Binance that this WILL include XRP.
Since the SEC sued Ripple for claiming XRP as an unregistered security, Binance has delisted XRP from their platform since then. However with this latest development maybe this is hinting at a possible XRP relisting from cryptocurrency exchange giant Binance.
Binance has lately been on the offense looking to grow their platform, shortly before the Mastercard announcement they have also announced a partnership with the city of Busan, South Korea. Also good to note that XRP has many gigantic banking partners in Korea, such as Shinhan and Woori Bank.
“From this agreement, we will provide tech and infrastructure support to develop the city’s blockchain ecosystem.”
