Sept.13th Important Date For XRP Holders, Here’s Why.

September 13th, 2022 will be a very important day for the XRP ledger. This is because on that date NFT’s could officially have enabled integration on the XRPL, however there is a catch.

Since the XRPL is inherently a decentralized platform, the validator nodes of the XRPL need to have a greater than 80% vote on bringing in the XLS20 proposal to the network. Not 80%, it must be greater than 80% which was something that was updated on the XRPL about a year ago.

Currently the voting consensus is currently sitting at 82.86%

Even if you do not entirely support NFTs, such as a picture of a cartoon dog with a cool hat that sells for $30,000, people should at least have a quick and efficient network to be able to trade them and speculate. During the peak of NFT hype in 2021, people were paying upwards of $500 for a single NFT transaction on the ETH blockchain through Opensea.

We believe that cartoon character collections is not the final form of NFT utility. One day on the XRPL imagine that millions of people are using the XRPL XLS20 function for drivers license, passport, title to a car etc. Imagine having every piece of identification you would ever need for daily life, all sitting in your phone, on the XRPL.
