XRP holders have been waiting a very long time for the ETH killer “FLR” to finally go live. Only July 11th 2022 the FLR network has actually already gone live in “observation mode” however it is confirmed that this month, September 2022, the initial 15% of the airdrop will be distributed to XRP holders.
Also we must note that FLR has been rallying lately, ever since the founder of flare networks, Hugo Philion, did an interview with a very big XRP-based YouTube channel.
Because in this interview he talked about the governance proposal which was very crucial for people receiving the FLR airdrop. He essentially explained that in order to receive your remaining 85% of your FLR airdrop claim, you must be actively participating in the decentralization of the FLR network by delegating your FLR.
Which is what spurred a rally in the FLR IOU price on cryptocurrency exchange Bitrue, when people realized that you can essentially buyout other people’s remaining 85% claim if the governance proposal goes through and becomes set in stone.
Here is the history of the FLR contract price history for further perspective, lowest price was $0.09, highest was $2.21, and currently sitting just under $0.60
