BREAKING: Ripple Chief Legal Officer Says Summary Judgement Is “Expected Any Day Now”
March 2nd 2023: Ripple’s Chief Legal Officer, Stuart Alderoty, interviewed by Casey Wagner from Blockworks, A leading cryptocurrency media brand.
This interview has two main takeaways from the Ripple executive. First one being that advice for smaller cryptocurrency businesses that are just getting started up, which is to leave the United States because it is not a level playing field for cryptocurrency projects. When speaking about the SEC he specifically says “Don’t trust these guys”.
Next up in the interview Ripple makes quite an unexpected statement to the public, shortly after hinting publicly on twitter about the Ripple v SEC lawsuit potentially going to the supreme court they decide to say this.
“Of course, any legal action on the basis of prejudgment is moot for Ripple now. The arguments have been filed. A summary judgment is expected any day; Alderoty said maybe as soon as the end of this month.“
Ripple has just stated in their interview with blockworks that a summary judgement ruling is expected any day, and maybe even by the end of this month, the Ripple V SEC case can be put to rest after a long battle that has been strung along for over 2 years.
